Overview
Advances in technology, including the advent of the internet, have made it possible for small law firms and solo-practitioners to provide effective legal services at a fraction of the cost normally charged by traditional larger scale legal services providers. This is a tremendous boon for small to midsized businesses which, for the most part, have been priced out of the high-end legal services market. At the same time, the need for legal advice has grown exponentially with globalization, creating opportunities for businesses, but also adding complexity. Law firms with a holistic view of legal services; who view business transactions as potentially involving many interlinking legal areas are in the best position to serve the dynamic business community of today, but hopefully with greater efficiency and at less cost. In 2005, my law practice, Robert Ian Goodman, Esq., also known as Goodman Law, began working together with the immigration firm of H. Taufiq Choudhury P.C. Our objective was to build on our respective strengths so that we could provide to joint-clients high quality immigration law and related commercial law services. Along these lines, Mr. Choudhury and I were continually impressed by how often a commercial law question would turn on answering a more subtle immigration question and vice versa. Because our practices shared many common values and approaches to problem solving we were able to achieve some early success in coordinating joint representations. We decided, subsequently, to expand our ties further and begin actively marketing our immigration law services jointly through the use of a marketing vehicle - Choudhury-Goodman Immigration and Commercial Law Affiliates. The principal aims of C-G IMMIGRATION AND COMMERCIAL LAW AFFILIATES are:
We are excited at the prospect of pioneering in the immigration field a new and more efficient way of providing legal services. Law practices must keep up with the dynamic changes of the business world. By joining forces through Choudhury-Goodman Immigration and Commercial Law Affiliates, our respective firms are doing just that. Robert Ian Goodman, Esq. |
